Formed on May 26, 2005, VACM’s nine Founding Members consist of all of the major community association management companies – managing in excess of 600 communities and over 500,000 residential units throughout the Commonwealth.  All of our members are sustaining members of the Community Association Institute (CAI) and are committed to fostering the professional management of common interest communities.  Our members have adopted the Professional Manager Code of Ethics and Standard outlined by the Community Associations Institute.

Each Founding Member company holds the Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC) accreditation from Community Association Institute.  Employees of our Founding Members have contributed thousands of hours volunteering time to CAI, serving on the National Board of Trustees, as National President, Chapter President, instructors for the Professional Management Development Program, authors for many publications on community association management and providing education to homeowners and Community Association Volunteers.  Two of our members have been instructors on common interest communities for the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) an affiliate of the Virginia Association of Realtors. 

Additionally, we have provided expert testimony to elected ad non-elected local, state and national government officials on issues affecting the management of common interest communities.
