Ronald P. Kirby, CMCA

Ronald P. Kirby, CMCA - Now retired, Ron is the past Chairman of the Board of Community Management Corporation, Chantilly, Virginia.  He has served as National President of Community Associations Institute, President of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of Community Associations Institute, Vice Chairman of the Condominium Committee of the National Association of Home Builders, Chairman of the AAMC Review Board for CAI, Member of the Sub-Committee for CIC’s of the Virginia Housing Study Commission.  Ron has been an instructor the Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) Course on common interest communities an affiliate of the Virginia Association of Realtors. Ron has spent over 40 years as a real estate professional in real estate sales, mortgage banking, real estate development and community association management.

Chet Hahne, President, Sequoia Management

Chet Hahne began his property management career over twenty-Chet Hahne, President, Sequoia Managementfive years ago with Paramount Communities Corporation. In 1978, Klingbeil Management Company hired him to supervise their acquisition of some 2,000 apartment units. By 1981, he was named Operations Manager for more than 200 buildings, covering more than 90 acres, including four shopping centers and numerous commercial holdings.

Christiaan P. Melson, CMCA, AMS, PCAM -  Chris is President and owner of CFM Management Services, Alexandria, Virginia.  Chris has served as President of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of Community Associations Institute, as a Member of the National Board of Trustees of CAI.

Ed Alrutz has over 25 years experience in the management of townhouse, garden, office, high-rise, and mixed use community associations in the Northern Virginia area. Arthur N. Dubin, CPM, PCAM, CMCA

Mr. Dubin presently serves as an Executive Vice President of Zalco Realty, Inc. He is a resident of Potomac, Maryland and has over 32 years of property management experience in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) as designated by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) through the Community Associations Institute (CAI), a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) through the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBCCAM), and a licensed real estate agent in Maryland and a licensed Property Manager in the District of Columbia. Mr. Dubin serves on the Board of Directors of the Local Chapter of Community Associations Institute and previously served as an Education committee member. Mr. Dubin also continues to teach and lecture for the organization. He has also been a speaker for the local chapter of the Realtors Association and was an instructor for Prince George’s Community College. He has also published articles in the Journal of Property Management, CAI News Realtor Magazine, and Quorum Magazine.

Thomas A. Mazzei, President & CEO, AMS, Florida CAMChet Hahne, President, Sequoia Management

Thomas A. Mazzei has been the President and CEO of Cardinal since it’s inception in 1987. A graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, Mr. Mazzei is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He has been a recurring author and speaker on issues related to community management on both local and national basis and has addressed such topics as developer litigation strategies, management transitions, warranty investigation issues, personnel management, professional manager growth and dealing with difficult people.

Scott Meardon, President of Community Group

Scott Meardon is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Community Group, and supervises the management operations of all the Community Group offices. Scott is one of the original three owners of Community Group. He has been at Community Group for 24 years and has 30 years of multi-property management experience, having previously worked with Harrison & Bates in Richmond and Grady Management in Washington, D.C. He received his undergraduate degree in mathematics and computer science from the College of William & Mary, and received his Masters of Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Scott is one of only a few managers in the country who have obtained both the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation from Community Association Institute (CAI) and the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He also is a recipient of the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation of the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM). In addition to his role as a contributor for the CAI chapter newsletter, Scott is frequently sought as a speaker and instructor for area professional functions.

Paul L. Orlando, CMCA, PCAM, Vice President of Management Services, has more than 30 years of experience in association management services. He holds a degree from Southern Connecticut Sate University and has earned the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations from CAI. Paul has been associated with Armstrong Management for 10 years and is responsible for overseeing all the company's management services operations. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of CAI and is active in legislative affairs as a member of the Virginia Legislative Action Committee. Paul is also a member of the Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia Board of Directors.

As President & CEO of Legum & Norman, Mr. Shehadi manages the day-to-day operations of the company and its five business lines: Community Association Management, Multi-Family Rental Management, Amtek Engineering Group, New Community Services and Brokerage. Mr. Shehadi holds an MBA from George Washington University, a BBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an AAS from Syracuse University.
